Frequently Asked Questions

Download the NERD app from the App Store or Google Play. Tap "Sign Up" and enter your name, email address, and password. You'll then be asked to complete your profile by adding your university, major, and a profile photo. Once your profile is set up, you're ready to start finding tutors or offering your own services.

To book a session:

  1. Browse available tutors by searching for a subject, course, or major.
  2. View the tutor's profile to see their ratings, reviews, and availability.
  3. Select a time slot that works for you.
  4. Choose between a one-on-one or group session (if available).
  5. Confirm your booking and await the tutor's acceptance.

You'll receive a push notification when the tutor accepts or suggests an alternative time.

Any registered user can offer tutoring services. Go to your profile settings and enable "Offer Tutoring." Then:

  1. Add the subjects or courses you can teach.
  2. Set your hourly rate.
  3. Configure your available time slots.
  4. Add a description of your teaching experience and approach.

Your tutoring profile will then be visible to students searching for help in your subjects.

NERD supports the following payment methods available in Jordan:

  • CliQ: Instant bank transfers using your CliQ alias (mobile number, alias, or IBAN).
  • Bank Transfer: Direct bank transfers to the tutor's account.

Payment details are exchanged securely through the platform. NERD takes a service commission on each session, and the remaining amount is transferred to the tutor.

To cancel a booking:

  1. Go to your "My Bookings" section in the app.
  2. Find the session you want to cancel.
  3. Tap "Cancel Booking" and provide a reason.

Please cancel as early as possible to give the other party time to adjust their schedule. Frequent last-minute cancellations may affect your account standing.

If you encounter any issues or inappropriate behavior:

  • In-app: Go to the user's profile and tap "Report User," or go to the specific booking and tap "Report Issue."
  • Email: Send details to mohdhasn212@gmail.com with your account email, the other user's name, and a description of the issue.

We take all reports seriously and will review them within 48 hours. Violations of our Terms of Service may result in account suspension or termination.

You can delete your account directly from the app by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account. If you can't access the app, visit our Account Deletion page to submit a deletion request. Your data will be removed within 30 days of the request.
